Default Where to buy Outdoor Playset Hardware and Plans

Does anyone know where to buy outdoor kids playset hardware like swings and other playset components, that is suitable for installation onto wooden built playsets. Also where to maybe get plans. I'm looking into whether it is more cost effective to buy the hardware and lumber separately, rather than buy those kits.

I have looked and am thinking of the same but the hardware and swings etc are very very over priced. By the time you buy the pressure treated and the parts you will be more expensive then the full kit from what I have seen. If you find good part s kits cheap please post and share where

    Default Another option on parts

Home Depot carries parts, as does Totem Building Supplies. Totem seems to carry a broader selection, in Edmonton at least.

I have purchased three different Timber Built hardware and plan kits from home depot. Then I bought the wood separately. Two of the kits I built with cedar and one with pressure treated.

I can strongly recommend both the Timber Built hardware and the plans.

And, more importantly, the kids all love the playsets that I built for them.

Totem usually has them in their flyers starting about now and they seem to have every option you could want.

As well, I know that they will customize the plans for you depending on your budget, space, needs etc.

What do you have in mind? A swing/climbing/slide type or elaborate Train, Ship, Truck type construction?

If you want the trucks & trains etc. Try The Windfield Collections

If it the climbing gym then as was previously suggested, go to HD and pickup the parts and instructions.
