    Default Suggestion

I'm not sure who to send this too so I'm posting n "Off Topic"

I normally log on to the web site, click the "New Posts" and then go to the threads that I'm interested in.

In the case of a long thread I've been watching for a while the first page of comments comes up and then I select the page ( general the last) that I want to start reading at.

It would be handy if the listing of "New Posts" or even all the listings of "Posts" included links to each page of comments for the individual threads. That way if I knew I wanted to start on page 5, I could go directly there instead of the tap dance described in the above paragraph. It would also mean that if all I did was display the last page of comments I could use the browser's page back function to get back to the list of "Topics" without having to run another query thereby saving web server resources.

Increase the number of posts on a single page in your User CP. I have mine at the maximum (25) and more than two pages is very rare.

Click the little box beside the title and it will open the first unread message.
Click the title and there is a link at the top of the thread for the first unread message.

Click the little box beside the name of the last person to post and it will take you to that message.

    Piece O cake.

Actually I have mine set to 40 per page. Rarely get 2 pages or more. If it went to a thousand per page I would chose that, but last time I puttered with my settings, 40 was the max.

    Default Just Noticed

If someone quotes a previous post there is a little arrow just after the previous poster's name. If you click on that you can jump back to the originally quoted message. Slick.

Where exactly is that line to change? I've been thru the CP panel twice and can't find it.

My mistake. Mine is set to 40 as well.
It's the list of threads in a particular forum that is limited to 25. I would like to see that increased if it can be done. Just to save a bit of clicking around.

    J.P. I bumped the 40 to 50.

The posts per page was set at 10, so I doubled it to 20. Let me know if that helps or hinders.

Thanx Bill. I like the jump to 50.
Something is odd. Before if I clicked on a forum it would say 1 to 25 of X Now it just says page 1 of X.
I counted before I wrote that earlier message and I know there was 25 threads in the forum I opened.
I'm not sure where the increase from 10 to 20 is.

    In any case. Thanx.

    Oops.
It's only the search pages that give the 1 to 25 of X. Not the forums.
The "new posts" and "Todays posts" show 25 threads per page. That's why I didn't notice the 10 thread limit.
If that limit can be increased, it would be nice.
