I inquired but he never responded. I'm assuming his model is NOT, as he writes, exactly like the current one (sans granite top), but the previous cast-iron one (3650 ?).

he's actually kinda smart in his marketing. he explains (however not in explicit words) that the current one at HD is $799 and has a granite top (which is what we see in the photo), but his is the solid cast top model from a few years ago.

    that's a great price for a 3650. i paid $400 used for mine 2 yrs ago.

Actually, his description is very deceptive as he writes "Otherwise the same" as regards the granite top. I understood there were some differences (riving knife being the biggest one for me), but whether or not he is aware of them and being intentionally deceptive is another story.

I've read elsewhere that the 4511 has been had for < $400 new south of the border when it was being cleared out, which in a perverse way mitigates what I'm willing to pay for that saw or its predecessors used or new.

Regardless, I'm guessing he sold it.

EDIT: HD had been clearing out the 4511 for $299 in the US. Surely they're cleaned out by now, though.

That is a solid price if it pans out.
I bought the Craftex version (CT146?) a couple of months back, love it.
$250 would be a steal though!

    Cheers
